Sampson died circa 1815 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽⁶⁰²⁾ Sampson was living in Saxis/Cattail Ck, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁶⁰³⁾ Sampson was named in a deed in 23 May 1795 on Cattail Creek, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁶⁰⁴⁾ He was listed as a resident in the census report 1800 in Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁶⁰⁵⁾ (See Sampson Marshall Sr. for the children resulting from this marriage.)

Mary was named in a deed in 15 May 1800 on Cattail Creek, Acc Co, VA.⁽⁶⁰⁶⁾ Mary (-----) Marshall is mentioned as wife of Sampson in a deed of 15 May 1800, when Sampson and wife Mary sold 100 acres at the mouth of Cattail Creek to Absolem Lewis. Her b.c. 1755 is based on being 26-45 in 1800 and the birth of her oldest son Henry, b.c. 1772, when she would have been 17.
