He married Mary Ann Ward in Northampton Co., Virginia, September 18, 1850. (Mary Ann Ward is #569.) Mary was born in Northampton Co., Virginia January 3, 1829. Mary died July 5, 1867 in Northampton Co., Virginia, at 38 years of age.

George Levin Joynes Thomas Col. and Mary Ann Ward had the following children:

100 ii. Sarah Letitia Thomas (#571) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia February 27, 1854. Sarah died March 31, 1933 in Northampton Co., Virginia, at 79 years of age.

101 iii. Letitia Robins Thomas (#572) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia May 16, 1856. Letitia died January 26, 1907 at 50 years of age. She married Badger. ( Badger is #578.)

102 iv. George Benjamin Whitley Thomas (#573) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia June 18, 1858. George died May 4, 1919 at 60 years of age.

103 v. William Edward Thomas (#574) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia October 10, 1860. William died August 8, 1934 at 73 years of age.

104 vi. Anna Lee Thomas (#575) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia February 25, 1863. Anna died September 10, 1865 at 2 years of age.

105 vii. Mary Jane Thomas (#576) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia October 17, 1864. Mary died June 26, 1865 at less than one year of age.

106 viii. Mary Ann Thomas (#577) was born in Northampton Co., Virginia September 27, 1866. Mary died July 5, 1867 at less than one year of age.
