He married twice. He married WIFE ONE. (WIFE ONE is #4954.) He married SALLY ELZEY in Somerset Co. MD, December 18, 1797. (Somerset Parish records, F. Edward Wright, Maryland Eastern Shore Vital Records Book 4) (SALLY ELZEY is #4955.) Esme was under age 14 in 1784 and Jonathan Waller, his uncle, was appointed his guardian. (Somerset Orphans Court records). Esme was over age 14 in 1791. He purchased land with some of his cousins in 1785 and was probably age 15.

The "Republican Star" of February 17, 1818 reads: Died 6 instantly Col. Esme M. Waller of Somerset County, buried Sunday by members of Salisbury Lodge of Masons of which he was a member. (F. Edward Wright, Maryland Eastern Shore Newspaper Abstracts)
