CHARLOTTE died before 1821. He married MARIA "MARY" BOWEN in Worcester Co., MD, before 1821. (MARIA "MARY" BOWEN is #16164.) MARIA was the daughter of MARY ANN (wife of ___ Bowen). His father left him "Addition to Thurbin (Sherborn)". Moses was named by his sister in 1829.

October 29, 1839. (ISAAC WILLIAM KER HANDY (Rev.) is #16335.) ISAAC was born in Washington DC December 14, 1815. ISAAC was the son of JAMES HENRY HANDY. ISAAC died June 14, 1878 in Philadelphia PA, at 62 years of age. 365 iii. WILLIAM HENRY PURNELL (#16336) was born in Worcester Co., MD 1826. WILLIAM died 1902 at 76 years of age. He married MARGARET NEILL MARTIN in Worcester Co., MD, 1849. (MARGARET NEILL MARTIN is #16337.) MARGARET was born 1825. MARGARET died 1895 at 70 years of age. William was a dedicated advocate for the Union during the Civil War, organizing a military unit which became known as "Purnell's Legion." He was a member of the Maryland Bar, postmaster and an educator. William Henry Purnell is remembered as the man who raised a legion to save Worcester County for the Union. 367 v. CHARLES HOUSTON PURNELL (#16339) was born in Worcester Co., MD 1848. CHARLES died 1906 in Worcester Co., MD, at 58 years of age. He married MARGARET COFFIN 1874. (MARGARET COFFIN is #16340.) MARGARET was born 1855. MARGARET was the daughter of ISAAC COFFIN. MARGARET died 1890 in Worcester Co., MD, at 35 years of age. Her body was interred Buckingham Presbyterian Church, Worcester Co., MD.
