He married SARAH "SADIE" E. BURTON in Northampton Co VA, May 9, 1886. (SARAH "SADIE" E. BURTON is #3276.) SARAH was born in Northampton Co VA February 11, 1865. SARAH was the daughter of CHARLES A. BURTON and ELIZABETH "LIZZIE" S. JOHNSON. SARAH died April 21, 1951 at 86 years of age.

JOHN RICKETS DUNTON and SARAH "SADIE" E. BURTON had the following children:

1913 i. DAPHNE D.¹² DUNTON (#3279) was born February 26, 1887. DAPHNE died March 29, 1905 at 18 years of age.

1914 ii. BARON VAUGHAN DUNTON (#3280) was born in Northampton Co VA 1889. BARON died after 1920. She married WILLIAM HENRY WILLETT. (WILLIAM HENRY WILLETT is #3281.) WILLIAM was born in Northampton Co VA October 12, 1885. WILLIAM was the son of JAMES HENRY WILLETT and NANCY "NANNIE" C. LEWIS. WILLIAM died November 9, 1948 at 63 years of age.

1915 iii. DAUGHTER DUNTON (#3284) was born September 15, 1892. DAUGHTER died October 30, 1892 at less than one year of age.

1916 iv. DON D. DUNTON (#3285) was born in Northampton Co VA 1896. He married EVELYN WYATT MILES. (EVELYN WYATT MILES is #3286.) EVELYN was born 1900. EVELYN was the daughter of WILLIAM ALBIN MILES and BERTHA MAY SHARPLEY.

1917 v. ZEPHYR A. DUNTON (#3289) was born in Northampton Co VA 1897. She married WILLIAM THOMAS COWHIG in Norfolk VA, January 26, 1921. (WILLIAM THOMAS COWHIG is #3290.) WILLIAM was born in Casanova VA 1891. WILLIAM was the son of PATRICK COWHIG and ELIZA.
