He married Ellen ferch Thomas circa 1350.⁽²⁸⁴⁾ Ellen was born circa 1330. Ellen⁽²⁸⁵⁾ was the daughter of Thomas ap Llewelyn Lord of Gwynnioneth and Elinor.

Griffith Fychan Lord of Glendower and Ellen ferch Thomas had the following children:

64 i. Owen Glendower^{11 (286)} was born, circa 1359.⁽²⁸⁷⁾ Owen died 1416 at 57 years of age.⁽²⁸⁸⁾

+ 59 ii. Lowri ferch Griffith was born circa 1360.⁽²⁸⁹⁾
