388. JOHN EDWARD HENRY⁶ MARSHALL (JOHN PURNELL⁵, ELIZABETH⁴ PURNELL, JOHN³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) was born in Worcester Parish, Worcester Co., MD 1807. (ref: F. Edward Wright, Eastern Shore Vital Records) JOHN died 1870 in Worcester Co., MD, at 63 years of age.

He married LAURA ANN M. HENRY in Worcester Co., MD, September 22, 1829. LAURA was born about 1813. John's occupation is shown as "collector" in the 1850 census. A John E. H. Marshall, age 15, was in the same household of E.D. Martin, Clerk of County, Joseph P. W. Richardson, 20, Clerk, and William H. Purnell, lawyer, and others in 1850. It is not known if he is the son of John Edward Henry Marshall. A John E. Marshall is listed in the household of John E. H. Marshall in the same census; perhaps he was listed even though he was not currently in the house (?)
