60. MATTHEW⁴ PURNELL (JR.) (MATTHEW³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) birth date unknown.

He married ELIZABETH MORGAN. ELIZABETH was the daughter of AVERY MORGAN. ELIZABETH died 1797 in Worcester Co., MD. She made a will in Worcester Co., MD, March 10, 1795. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Co. MD Wills JW f.289, p.29)

ELIZABETH's will was probated in Worcester Co., MD, March 10, 1797. Elizabeth named her children: Catherine Dale, Avery, William and Azariah Purnell. Witnesses were: Edward Henry and William Richards.

A Joshua Hodge died in 1790 and named his mother, Elizabeth Purnell, and sister, Mary Davis. Elizabeth Purnell's son, Azariah, named a son Joshua Hodge Purnell and it is thought he was a step-brother and that Elizabeth was married first to a Hodge.

MATTHEW PURNELL (Jr.) and ELIZABETH MORGAN had the following children:
