He married Margaret DOWNING 17 Mar 1781. (Margaret DOWNING is #24.) Margaret was born 1753. Margaret was the daughter of Zerobabel DOWNING. Margaret died 9 Dec 1789 at 36 years of age. At 29 years of age Margaret became the mother of William Michael UPSHUR 20 Jul 1782.

At 40 years of age John became the father of William Michael UPSHUR 20 Jul 1782. @NI0025@
