He married Molly CLOPTON in Pittsylvania County, 18 Apr 1785.(88) (Molly CLOPTON is #67.) Molly was born in New Kent County 1763.⁽⁸⁹⁾ Molly was the daughter of Robert CLOPTON. Molly died 25 Sep 1853 in Halifax County, at 90 years of age.⁽⁹⁰⁾ @NI0069@

John SPENCER and Molly CLOPTON had the following child:
