He married Nancy Lewis SPENCER in Halifax County, 29 Jul 1846.(24) (Nancy Lewis SPENCER is #75.) Nancy was born in Halifax County 14 Feb 1822. Nancy was the daughter of George Wentworth SPENCER and Ann Pearson HUGHES. Nancy died 28 Jul 1901 in Halifax County, at 79 years of age. At 25 years of age Nancy became the mother of William Robert CROWDER in Halifax, County, 11 Nov 1847.
