53. John⁵ Bayley (Edmund⁴, Hannah³ Scarburgh, Ursula² Whittington, William¹) was born about 1726. John died 1759 in Accomack Co., VA, at 33 years of age.

John's heir-at-law was called Thomas 'the younger', probably to identify him from his uncle Thomas, who was John's executor. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Admin. Acc. Co. p.194)

John Bayley had the following child:

142 i. Thomas⁶ Bayley (the younger) was born in Accomack Co., VA about 1746. At the probate of John Bayley's estate in 1759, Thomas Bayley, the younger, heir at law to the testator, was cited to appear and did not, and another Thomas Bayley qualified. (Nottingham, p. 194)
