Donald's Linguine and Red Clam Sauce

1/4 cup olive oil
1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, cut up, undrained
1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 or 3 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams, drained ( I use 1 can chopped)
reserve 1/4 cup clam juice
1 pound package linguine

In medium skillet, heat oil and garlic. Stir in next 5 ingredients. Simmer 10 minutes. Stir in clams and reserved juice. Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain. serve clam sauce over linguine. Serves 6 - 8.
