         Welcome to our County’s Web site.  We hope that you find what you seek here on our site.  Part of our mission as defined by the Board of Supervisors is to run an open government - sharing data, knowledge, public records and information with the public and this site is one great way of doing that.  It also serves as a place to get information from you on matters which are important to you. 

         We hope that this site helps us to partially meet that mission and that you find it of use.  While visiting, if you have suggestions for improvements or wish to comment on anything, please send us your thoughts!  Incidentally, we hope in the future to offer on-line transactions.  Thank you.

         By the way, if you don’t already know, Accomack County is very historic and beautiful; in fact, many consider Virginia’s Eastern Shore to be one of the World’s last really great places – whether you are watching a Chincoteague colt cavorting in the salt marsh or some other part of Nature’s majestic, wild beauty in an area known internationally for its unique biodiversity.  For more information, please check our ‘links’ page.
