Welcome
Accomack County Airport (MFV) is the aviation gateway to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. It is managed by an Airport Commission and functions as a part of a state-wide network of general aviation airports. The airport was constructed in 1942 for World War II wartime operations and was used by the Navy as an emergency flight strip. In 1959 the airport was deeded to the Board of Supervisors of Accomack County by Federal and State agencies.
Airport Terminal
The terminal building at Accomack County Airport was dedicated in December of 1997. Its architecture is reminiscent of Coast Guard stations on the barrier islands of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and it contains a spacious lobby, conference room, and pilots' lounge. Business people can walk from the terminal to the companies in Accomack Airport Industrial Park. T-hangars, apron and taxiway were also added in 1997.
