The Atlantic Vol. Fire & Rescue Company, Inc. proudly protects 1500 people living in an area of 26 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The Atlantic Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company Inc was organized in 1957. The company is located in the community of Atlantic on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We are the second call company to assist five other volunteer fire departments and to the NASA and U.S. Navy facilities at Wallops Island Virginia.
