I am confident that all of you grandparents out there have wonderful stories about your grandchildren that illustrate just how cute, intelligent, witty, etc. they are. Nick's Mom told him that his Aunt Shannon wanted him to be in her wedding. He got an absolutely stricken look on his face and said, "But, Mommy, she's a grown-up lady and I'm just a little kid."

Robin - at age 3 - the perfect hostess
She's a waver. It doesn't matter who is leaving, they will get the red carpet treatment, hugs, kisses, no one will be forgotten - then she will stand on the porch and wave until you are out of sight. It makes the recipient of all of this attention feel really special, but if you could remain on the Porch with Robin, you would see that it hasn't ended, for you would hear her say in her tiny, little voice, "I'm going to miss them."

While explaining on the phone to Amanda that Great Poppop had to go to the hospital, I told her that a helicopter had come and taken him to the hospital. She asked, 'Were there policemen there?" and I answered, "Well, they were like policemen." And she yelled to her Mom, "Mommy some 'Polite' policemen took Great Poppop to the hospital in a helicopter."
