To Jim Biond for his 1st place jewelry award the Mandarin Art Festival in Jacksonville on Easter weekend. The piece is a 3 inch long
spiculum made with Argentium, decorated with gemstones and 18 kt yellow gold.
To Lisa Campagnone, new state Vice President for FSG. From Arnold Lasris, FSG President: "I would like to welcome Lisa Campagnone
as our new Vice President. I feel very fortunate, and lucky, we were
able to have Lisa volunteer to fulfill the position. She was previously
the Co-President of the NE Chapter and she is also our chairman of the
State Scholarship Committee."
To Nancy Neeb: More from Arnold: "
I would like the FSG Board of Directors to welcome Nancy Neeb to the Board of Directors as Chairman of Statewide
Projects.
This is a new position that Nancy is very interested in fulfilling. I'll leave the description to Nancy. See the
article she has written that will be in this issue of our FSG newsletter."
To Ann Zawacki, who had a piece accepted in the show at the Museum of Florida Art (former Deland Museum of Art) and was also
invited to show one of her mixed-media neckpieces in a fiber show in Mt. Dora.
To Sandy Lent, who won an award at one of her last shows and is doing the prestigious Virginia Beach Boardwalk Art Show in June. Sandy was
also invited to participate in the Oakbrook Fine Craft Invitational in Oakbrook, Illinois, in July.
To Chris Carlson, who was accepted into the Lakefront Festival of the Arts at the Milwaukee Art Museum and was also
invited to participate in the Oakbrook Fine Craft Invitational in Oakbrook, Illinois, in July.
To Mary Ostrander who is on a humanitarian trip to Burundi, Africa, and will be living with a local family and helping to build a school.
