Are there any scholarships available for Winter Workshop 2010?
Yes, the Bruce Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund provides the opportunity to Northeast Chapter members of FSG in good standing for a minimum of one year to further their education in the metalsmithing field with financial aid to attend workshops sponsored by the Northeast Chapter. Additionally, the purpose is to make scholarships available to as many members as possible with the limited funds available. Scholarships are available for workshops of two days or more and will apply only to workshop fees.
An application for the scholarship will need to be completed by the NE Chapter member and submitted to the Scholarship Committee.
Applications will be carefully reviewed. Decisions on the awarding of the Scholarships will be based on: potential benefit of the workshop experience to the applicant, responses to questions on the application, financial needs, and the slides or images included. Arrangements can be made to submit the images by email to: fsgne@yahoo.com. Please put "Scholarship Photos" in the subject line of the e-mail.
