Maple Street Hunt Club in Full Effect
All dues paying members have bagged deer except for the president. As the end of first week of muzzle loading draws near the stations great outdoorsmen have taken several bucks. Our fearless leader Scott Taylor on the first day got 2 bucks, Firmedic D.C. Parks also took 2 in the evening round, but kudos go to Asst. Fire Cheif Chad Parks who brought home a 13 point buck Friday. Early unconfirmed reports of the 13 point kill claim it was a 150 yard shot. In other news President Ferguson unfortunatly needs to spend more time at the target range after missing shoots at 12, 6, and 4 point bucks. Incomplete reports state Ferguson has tracked over 5 miles in search of possible kills. GOOD LUCK FERGY

19000 Block of Savageville Rd. On Oct. 11th at 1716 hrs. stations 18 and 9 where dispatched to a accident with possible entrapment. Enroute a station 9 line officer advised that entrapment was confirmed and due to the severity of the damage to the vehicle both stations would need to respond there extrication tools. Cheif 9 arrived on scene and assumed command of the incident. After interviewing the patient it was determined that the driver had lost control of the vehicle on the wet road flipping it over and wrapping it around a nearby tree. The patient was not visible to crews on scene due to the severity of the vehicle damage. The only access to the patient was though a extremity wich was sticking out of a window. The crews quickly stabelized the vehicle and determined that the tree would have to be cut down and the vehicle would have to be pulled off the tree with a come along system. The extrication was difficult and took over 1 hr and 15 min. the extrication required all equipment on both peices of equipment. Due to the long extrication time air ambulance was requested however due to the inclement weather no helecoptors where available. Once the subject was free he was transported to SMH ER and later transfered to Sentara Norfolk General due to sever injuries. All units where back in at 1902 after a 1hr and 45 min extrication and clean up.
