Listed below are various collections of pictures I took during my travels in 2024. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Valley of the Kings - 17 images - Posted 19 March 2025
The Valley of the Kings is well worth visiting. The insides of the tombs have all the lavish decoration that's missing from the pyramids.
Luxor - 29 images - Posted 19 February 2025
Egypt is home to many ancient temples. One of the largest surviving ancient temple complexes in the world is in Luxor, and includes the Karnak Temple and the Dendera Temple of the Birth of Isis.
Cairo - 24 images - Posted 12 February 2025
We visited Cairo in September. We've always wanted to see pyramids, and Cairo has the best in the world.
Frankfurt - 30 images - Posted 5 February 2025
On a recent trip across the pond we spent a few days in Frankfurt to get over jet lag. It turns out to be a beautiful city and a delightful place to visit.
Giants Causeway - 13 images - Posted 29 January 2025
The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland is a stunning natural formation of interlocking basalt columns. Created by volcanic activity around 60 million years ago, its hexagonal pillars were shaped as molten lava cooled and cracked. I first read about it as a child and I've always wanted to see it. I finally got my chance in March of 2024.
Silver City - 17 images - Posted 22 January 2025
Bodfish, California is home to the Silver City Ghost Town, which is a collection of buildings and artifacts from the remains of area ghost towns
Grand Canyon - 26 images - Posted 15 January 2025
We had to cross the Mojave to get to the Grand Canyon, and it was worth it! We ran out of superlatives to describe the view. The sheer depth and breadth of the scenery was almost more than this poor East Coast boy could handle.
Sequoia National Forrest - 16 images - Posted 9 January 2025
We visited the Sequoia National Forest to see the big trees. There are lots of nice places to stay, and lots of activity along the river.
Mojave Desert - 24 images - Posted 4 January 2025
On a recent trip to the west coast, we took the opportunity to see the Mojave Desert. I can't imagine crossing it on foot!
Death Valley - 23 images - Posted 29 December 2024
While we were out west we figured we'd drive around a bit and see some things. One of the places we went was Death Valley, the source of Twenty Mule Team Borax back in the day.
Luz Bay - 31 images - Posted 17 December 2024
In March we visited Portugal again, this time the seaside resort town of Luz Bay. It is a charming small town and very affordable with lots of interesting restaurants to try.
