2. Sarah2 Purnell (Thomas1) was born about 1660. Sarah died before 1743 in Worcester Co., MD.

She married Affradozi Johnson. Affradozi died 1744. He made a will in Worcester Co., MD, May 3, 1743. (transcribed by Suzanne B. Hurley, Ocean City Lifesaving Museum)

Affradozi's will was probated in Worcester Co., MD, October 3, 1744. Somerset Rent Rolls 1666-1723 show 235 acres "Cold Harbor" possessed by Afradozi Johnson. He named his son, George, and left him 200 acres of "Rochester," to son Thomas he left 87A "Friends Choice" at Rockawalkin" in Somerset County. He named his son Purnell and grandson Samuel Dennis.

A Samuel Johnson, in his will dated August 5, 1750 Somerset Co., MD, left "Cold Harbor" in Worcester to his daughter, Mary. "Cold Harbor" came to Affradozi's wife, Sarah, by her father, Thomas Purnell. Samuel Johnson also left "Friends Choice" in Wicomico to his son, Benjamin, saying it had been willed to him by his father. Affradozi left his son, Thomas, "Friends Choice."

Sarah Purnell and Affradozi Johnson had the following children:

child 7 ii. George Johnson. George died 1750. He married Ann Truitt. She was the widow of William Jarman. (notes of Vernon L. Skinner) His father left him 200 acres of "Rochester" in Worcester County. (marriage & dod-notes of Vernon L. Skinner) Distribution of his estate was made January 21, 1757 by Ann Hall, wife of Joshua Hall, and distributed to the widow and William Jarman, minor.

child 8 iii. Thomas Johnson. His father left him "Friends Choice" in Somerset County.

child 9 iv. Purnell Johnson. Purnell died about 1777. He married Joanna Byrd. Living in 1743, named in his father's will. (dod & marriage-notes of Vernon L. Skinner)

child 10 v. Samuel Johnson. His father left him the residue of "Friends Choice."
