He married Tabitha SCARBURGH about 1653.(405) (Tabitha SCARBURGH is #146.) Tabitha was born 1639.⁽⁴⁰⁶⁾ Tabitha was the daughter of Edmund II SCARBURGH and MARY. Tabitha died 1718 in Accomack County, at 79 years of age.⁽⁴⁰⁷⁾

John SMART and Tabitha SCARBURGH had the following child:
