6. WILLIAM BLACK³ BUNTING (JONATHAN², WILLIAM¹) (#15248) was born Accomack Co., VA about 1718. WILLIAM died before May 28, 1777 Accomack Co., VA, at approximately 58 years of age.

He married MARY (SELBY) about 1740. (MARY (SELBY) is #15249.)

He made a will Accomack Co., VA, December 20, 1776. WILLIAM's will was probated Accomack Co., VA, May 28, 1777. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Administrations of Accomack Co., VA, p. 307) William named his "love begotten child" Edward Phillips. He named executors: Spencer Bagwell and sons, William and Charles. The will was proved by Isaac Smith and Spencer Bagwell. At probate, the executors refused to act and Thomas Bayley, Jr. was granted administration.

WILLIAM BLACK BUNTING and MARY (SELBY) had the following children:

32 i. CHARLES⁴ BUNTING (#15250).

33 ii. WILLIAM BLACK BUNTING (Jr.) (#15251). WILLIAM died before July 30, 1793 Accomack Co., VA. Administration of his estate to John Cropper, Jr. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Administrations of Accomack Co., p. 409)

34 iii. JOHN "SELBY" BUNTING (#15252).

35 iv. BETTY BUNTING (#15255). She married UNKNOWN CROPPER. (UNKNOWN CROPPER is #15256.)

WILLIAM BLACK BUNTING and UNKNOWN PHILLIPS had the following child:

37 vi. EDWARD PHILLIPS (#15253) was born Accomack Co., VA before December 20, 1776. Called in his father's will "love begotten son."
