26. William³ Bishop (Sr.) (Mary² Bowen, William¹) was born about 1694. William died 1759 at 65 years of age.

He married Saborough "Sabra" Jones. Saborough was the daughter of John Jones. Saborough died before 1757. He left tract "Simpleton" to his son, Benjamin. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Co. MD Land Records, p. 566)

William Bishop(Sr.) and Saborough "Sabra" Jones had the following children:

67 i. Mary⁴ Bishop was born 1729. Mary died 1763 at 34 years of age. She married twice. She married John Deverix before 1757. John died 1757 in Worcester Co., MD. She married William (aka Micajah) Sturgis after 1757. William was born 1728. William was the son of John Sturgis(III) and Elinor (Johnson). William died 1762 in Worcester Co., MD, at 34 years of age. He gave a deposition in 1756. He died intestate and his estate was probated by his brother, Daniel.

+ 68 ii. William Bishop(Jr.) was born about 1731.

+ 69 iii. Benjamin Bishop was born about 1733.

70 iv. Joseph Bishop was born about 1735. Joseph died 1778 at 43 years of age. He married Ann(wife of Joseph Bishop). Joseph had five children. (research of Dr. William R. Bishop)
