He married CATHARINE P. W. CUSTIS in Accomack Co VA, July 22, 1833. (CATHARINE P. W. CUSTIS is #2124.) CATHARINE was born April 9, 1813. CATHARINE was the daughter of JOHN CUSTIS and TABITHA GILLETT. CATHARINE died January 4, 1896 at 82 years of age.

ROBERT J. POULSON and CATHARINE P. W. CUSTIS had the following children:

+ 727 i. CATHARINE W.⁹ POULSON was born July 6, 1834.

728 ii. ELIZABETH T. POULSON (#2128) was born 1836. ELIZABETH died August 1, 1920 at 84 years of age.

729 iii. MARY D. POULSON (#2129) was born February 6, 1838. MARY died January 4, 1908 at 69 years of age.

730 iv. JAMES POULSON (#2130) was born February 22, 1840. JAMES died November 14, 1904 at 64 years of age. Served in army of CSA.

731 v. SARAH CUSTIS POULSON (#2131) was born March 16, 1842. SARAH died April 17, 1926 at 84 years of age.

732 vi. JOHN CUSTIS POULSON (#2132) was born June 23, 1847. JOHN died June 16, 1865 at 17 years of age. Served in army of CSA.

+ 733 vii. CHARLOTTE CUSTIS POULSON was born about 1848.

734 viii. ROBERT J. POULSON (#2133) was born March 4, 1849. ROBERT died March 9, 1882 at 33 years of age.
