JAMES died August 22, 1848 Berlin, Worcester Co., MD, at 43 years of age. His body was interred St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Berlin, Worcester Co., MD.

He married MARY J. FRANKLIN in Worcester Co., MD, December 21, 1831. (MARY J. FRANKLIN is #14757.) MARY was born December 24, 1809. MARY was the daughter of ISAAC FRANKLIN and MARTHA IRONSHIRE. MARY died January 27, 1893 in Worcester Co., MD, at 83 years of age. (dates-Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage, p. 422)

+ 613 iv. WILLIAM JAMES FRANKLIN PURNELL (Dr.) was born October 18, 1839.

614 v. WILMER SPENCE PURNELL (#14768) was born January 18, 1843. WILMER died August 14, 1904 at 61 years of age. He married SARAH GERTRUDE TIMMONS. (SARAH GERTRUDE TIMMONS is #16801.) SARAH was born 1844. SARAH was the daughter of THOMAS LEVI TIMMONS and MARY ELIZABETH SELBY. SARAH died 1900 at 56 years of age.
