953. JOHN HARMANSON⁹ WINDER (SUSANNA⁸ HARMANSON, GEORGE⁷, ARGALL⁶, ELIZABETH⁵ YEARDLEY, SARAH⁴ MICHAEL, ELIZABETH³ THOROWGOOD, ADAM², WILLIAM¹) was born 1785. JOHN died 1854 at 69 years of age.

He married twice. He married COMFORT GORE. COMFORT died before 1816. He married SARAH CHRISTIAN SNEAD in Northampton Co VA, 1816. SARAH was born 1784. Sarah was under age at the time of her father's death. (ref: Marshall) SARAH was the daughter of SMITH SNEAD (Jr.) and ROSETTA "ROSE" CHRISTIAN.

SARAH died 1845 in Northampton Co VA, at 61 years of age. Her body was interred in Eastville, VA, Christ Church. She was under age in 1792.

JOHN HARMANSON WINDER and SARAH CHRISTIAN SNEAD had the following children:

1154 i. ROSINA CHRISTIAN¹⁰ WINDER was born in Northampton Co VA 1820. ROSINA died after 1857. She married GEORGE SETH GUION October 8, 1857. GEORGE was born in Mississippi 1806. GEORGE was the son of ISAAC GUION and SARAH LEWIS.

1155 ii. JOHN EDWARD WINDER was born 1823. JOHN died 1897 at 74 years of age.

JOHN HARMANSON WINDER had the following children:

1237 iii. LAURETTA A. WINDER. LAURETTA died after 1851. She married THOMAS LYTTLETON SAVAGE. THOMAS was born November 19, 1798. THOMAS was the son of THOMAS LYTTLETON SAVAGE and MARY BURTON SAVAGE. THOMAS died April 25, 1855 at 56 years of age.

1238 iv. SUSAN COMFORT WINDER. SUSAN died after 1853. She married ROBERT MAJOR GARRETT 1835. ROBERT was born 1808. ROBERT died after 1853.

1239 v. CHARLOTTE L. WINDER was born February 28, 1810. CHARLOTTE died November 28, 1871 at 61 years of age. She married WILLIAM P. NOTTINGHAM November 28, 1837. WILLIAM was born May 19, 1806. WILLIAM died May 27, 1876 at 70 years of age.
