943. PETER SMITH⁹ BOWDOIN (MARGARET⁸ SMITH, ISAAC⁷, SARAH⁶ WEST, FRANCES⁵ YEARDLEY, SARAH⁴ MICHAEL, ELIZABETH³ THOROWGOOD, ADAM², WILLIAM¹) was born February 26, 1796. PETER died May 25, 1875 at 79 years of age.

He married SUSAN M. JACOB 1818. SUSAN was born March 13, 1796. SUSAN was the daughter of ROBERT (A. OR CLARK) JACOB and ELIZABETH HACK. SUSAN died June 27, 1885 at 89 years of age.

PETER SMITH BOWDOIN and SUSAN M. JACOB had the following children:

1235 i. JOHN R.¹⁰ BOWDOIN was born July 30, 1819. JOHN died July 6, 1894 at 74 years of age. He married twice. He married AMANDA A. W. HINMAN before 1849. AMANDA was born March 19, 1829. AMANDA died October 19, 1883 at 54 years of age. He married ELIZABETH E. CUSTIS after 1883. ELIZABETH was born October 13, 1839. ELIZABETH died May 24, 1899 at 59 years of age.

1236 ii. WILLIAM J. BOWDOIN was born 1822. WILLIAM died 1855 at 33 years of age.
