He married ELLEN CARTER BRUCE September 13, 1843. ELLEN was born August 15, 1820. ELLEN died February, 1862 at 41 years of age.

JAMES MARION MORSON and ELLEN CARTER BRUCE had the following children:

child 1069 i. ELLEN BRUCE10 MORSON was born November 10, 1845. She married OCTAVE JACOB December 21, 1869.

child 1070 ii. JAMES BRUCE MORSON was born August 12, 1847. He married CLAUDIA BURWELL MARSHALL July 20, 1873.

child 1071 iii. MARIAN MORSON was born April 13, 1849. MARIAN died 1888 at 39 years of age. She married HENRY WISE GARNETT November 4, 1874.

child 1072 iv. CHARLES BRUCE MORSON was born November 19, 1850. He died in his early youth.

child 1073 v. ALICE MORSON was born November 20, 1852. She married LEIGH ROBINSON.

child 1074 vi. THOMAS SEDDON MORSON was born November 26, 1854. Died as a young adult.

child 1075 vii. FRANK MORSON was born March 3, 1857. Died as an infant.

child 1076 viii. ANNE MORSON was born February 17, 1859. She married WYNDHAM R. MEREDITH.
