He married Nancy Bloxom 2 Dec 1825 (lic) in Worcester Co, MD.(220)

John's will was probated 30 Nov 1857 in Accomack Co, VA.⁽²²¹⁾ In his will, signed 30 May 1855, John W. Byrd named: a wife, Nancy (land held in her own rite, dower and one negro woman Leah); 4 sons, George W. (land adjoining Edmund Bell, Parker land where George by Riley resides), William R. (under 21, land near school house), Littleton M. (under 21, south end of Fisher land), John O. (under 21, north end of Mason and Fisher land adjoining Custis W. Byrd dec'd, shoemakers shop at store house); 5 daughters, Sarah A. Mason, Eveline Kelly, Susannah Byrd (under 21), Mary Byrd (under 21) and Elizabeth Trader, w/o Samuel Trader. The executors were George W. Byrd and James Mason. Witnesses were Wm. S. Fletcher, Harvey Johnson and S.J. Marshall. Sureties on the bond for probate were George W. Byrd, Richard Mason, John C. Wessells, and Major Mason Senr (Acc Co Wills, 1846-82, p. 260).

43 iv. Eveline 'Lina' Bird⁽²²⁹⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA 13 Jan 1833.⁽²³⁰⁾ Eveline died 30 Sep 1910 at 77 years of age.⁽²³¹⁾ Her body was interred in Kelley Plot, Muddy Creek, Acc Co, VA.⁽²³²⁾ She married Elijah B. Kelley 5 Jan 1854 in Accomack Co, VA.(233)

44 v. Elizabeth Jain Bird⁽²³⁴⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA 27 Jun 1835.⁽²³⁵⁾ Elizabeth died 21 Feb 1865 at 29 years of age.⁽²³⁶⁾ Elizabeth applied for a marriage license to wed Samuel C. Hutson|Trader 27 Mar 1855 in Worcester Co, MD.⁽²³⁷⁾ She was listed as a resident in the census report 1860 in Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽²³⁸⁾

46 vii. John Osburn Bird⁽²⁴²⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA 30 Jan 1840.⁽²⁴³⁾ John died 12 May 1843 at 3 years of age.⁽²⁴⁴⁾

47 viii. Littleton Major Bird⁽²⁴⁵⁾ was born in Accomack Co, VA 11 Apr 1842.⁽²⁴⁶⁾ Littleton died 1865 at 23 years of age.⁽²⁴⁷⁾ He was listed as a resident in the census report 1860 in Accomack Parish, Acc Co, VA.⁽²⁴⁸⁾
