30. ROSE³ FISHER (MADDOX², PATIENCE¹ "V") (#177) was born about 1715.

She married EDMUND BAYLEY (II) in Northampton Co VA, about 1730. (EDMUND BAYLEY (II) is #198.) EDMUND was born about 1693. EDMUND was the son of EDMUND BAYLY (I) and HANNAH SCARBURGH. EDMUND died 1750 in Accomack Co. VA, at 57 years of age. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Admin. Acc. Co.)

He made a will Accomack Co., VA, January 13, 1750. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Admin. Acc. Co., p. 160)

EDMUND's will was probated Accomack Co., VA, March 26, 1751. By his father's will, Edmund was to be under the guide & direction of an uncle, Morris Shepherd. Hannah Scarburgh's sister, Edmond Memoria Scarburgh, married Morris Shepherd, making him uncle to Hannah's children. Edmund received all his father's land on the seaside, containing 800 acres. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Admin. Acc. Co., p. 57-58) Edmund named his children, friend Joachim Michael and son John were executors. Thomas Crippen was a witness to the will; Thomas was his brother-in-law. Probate shows Littleton Scarburgh Major appointed guardian to Edmund, heir at law to the testator. (Stratton Nottingham, Wills & Admin. Acc. Co., p. 160-161) This Bayly line is not entirely proved. The tombstone of Thomas Bayly says he was the son of Edmund Bayly and Rose Fisher, daughter of Maddox Fisher, grandson of Edmund Bayly, and great grandson of Richard Bayly of Craddock. (Ralph Whitelaw, VA Eastern Shore, p. 980) Mjr. Esme Bayly of Somerset was "uncle" of Col. Thomas Bayly of Accomack. (Isaac W.K.
