He married MARY ADAMS. (MARY ADAMS is #5072.) MARY was the daughter of ANDREW ADAMS. Andrew Adam's will dtd November 8, 1817 Somerset Co., MD named his grandson, George Adams Dashiell as executor. James F. Dashiell is a witness. (Ruth T. Dryden, Somerset Will Book EB 23, p. 68)

James F. and Mary Dashiell are shown with a son, George, born in 1787 in the records of Stepney Parish, Wicomico Co., MD. (F. Edward Wright, Maryland Eastern Shore Vital Records 1776-1800, Book 4, p. 77)
