341. JAMES ROBINS SPENCE⁶ PURNELL (DR.) (GEORGE WASHINGTON⁵, WILLIAM⁴, ELISHA³, THOMAS², THOMAS¹) was born in Worcester Co., MD November 19, 1804. JAMES died August 22, 1848 in Worcester Co., MD, at 43 years of age. His body was interred in Worcester Co., MD, St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

He married MARY J. FRANKLIN in Worcester Co., MD, December 21, 1831. MARY was born December 24, 1809. MARY was the daughter of ISAAC FRANKLIN and MARTHA IRONSHIRE. MARY died January 27, 1893 in Worcester Co., MD, at 83 years of age. (dates-Matthew Wise, The Littleton Heritage, p. 423)

JAMES ROBINS SPENCE PURNELL (Dr.) and MARY J. FRANKLIN had the following children:

598 ii. MARY MARTHA PURNELL was born in Worcester Co., MD 1834. MARY died April 2, 1839 in Worcester Co., MD, at 4 years of age.

+ 600 iv. WILLIAM JAMES FRANKLIN PURNELL (Dr.) was born October 18, 1839.

601 v. WILMER SPENCE PURNELL was born in Worcester Co., MD January 18, 1843. WILMER died August 14, 1904 in Worcester Co., MD, at 61 years of age. He married SARAH GERTRUDE TIMMONS in Baltimore, MD, February 9, 1875. SARAH was born in Worcester Co., MD 1844. SARAH was the daughter of THOMAS LEVI TIMMONS and MARY ELIZABETH SELBY. SARAH died 1900 in Worcester Co., MD, at 56 years of age. His descendants are traced further in The Littleton Heritage. (Matthew M. Wise, The Littleton Heritage, p. 425)
