Took the Oath of Allegiance in Worcester Co. in 1778 in Quepomco Hundred before the Hon. Thomas Purnell. (Henry C. Peden, Jr., Revolutionary Patriots of Worcester & Somerset Cos. child 213 iv. ELIZABETH PURNELL. ELIZABETH died 1787 in Worcester Co., MD. (Vernon L. Skinner, Worcester Will Book JW13 f.139, p.14) She was named in her brother, Matthew's, 1786 will and called daughter of Jeptha in the will of her uncle Azariah Purnell in 1778. In her will, Elizabeth called the children of her sister, Letitia (Alisha), her brothers and sisters.
