He married three times. He married CATHERINE COVINGTON DIRICKSON in Worcester Co., MD, September 14, 1818. CATHERINE was the daughter of LEVIN DIRICKSON. He married JANE BOWEN in Worcester Co., MD, 1825. JANE was the daughter of JAMES BOWEN. He married MARY HAMMOND in Worcester Co., MD, 1837. Known as "Big Zadock," he is shown as an orphan of John Purnell and John Purnell's mother was Robert Mitchell's widow August court 1809. (orphans court-transcribed by Suzanne B.
