He married ELIZABETH EVANS. Notes of Suzanne B. Hurley and information from Merryweather's Genealogy of the Purnell Family indicate that Thomas married three times: Elizabeth Evans, Sarah Polk and Nancy Owens.

Anna Wharton Smith's Fisher Genealogy of 1896 shows him with the title of General, and that he provided his brother, John, with a classical education.

Descendants of Thomas Fisher and Elizabeth Evans provided by Eva J. Ruben 2/11/99 without references or dates.
