He married MARY SELBY. MARY was the daughter of ZADOCK SELBY (Sr.) and TABITHA (wife of Zadock Selby). Mary was not named in her father's will, but her daughter was called granddaughter of Zadock Selby. He was named by Martha Selby as grandson in her 1780 will. Thomas named his wife and father-in-law and daughter.

THOMAS PURNALL STURGIS and MARY SELBY had the following child:
