(Coventry Parish Records, no date) Will dated March 22, 1828, probate April 10, 1828, wife Sarah farm where I live, exor; after death fo son George Henry Sturgis -21, to son John Raymon Sturgis 50A Friends Assistance, 28A 1/2 Addition to the Hammer, lands adj. that I have bond of conveyance from Hugh Nelson; to John Mills Nelson in trust for daughter Mary Brittingham; to sons Joshua Hitch Sturgis, David James Sturgis, daughters Matilda Grace Nelson, Sally Bratten Sturgis, Elizabeth Catherine Sturgis; witnesses: Joshua Stevenson, Samuel Harper, John C. Handy.
