221. John Outten⁶ Sturgis (III) (John Outten⁵, John Outten⁴, Daniel³, John², John¹) was born 1803. John died 1872 at 69 years of age.

He married Eliza Nelson in Worcester Co., MD, December 26, 1826. Eliza was born 1814. Eliza was the daughter of Joel Nelson and Priscilla Sturgis. Eliza died 1867 at 53 years of age. (Floyd C. Otter, Ash Tree Echo, Jan. 1981, Vol. XVI, Fresno Genealogical Society) John was named in his mother's 1837 will and appears in the 1840 census of Worcester County.
