He married Catherine (wife of Jacob Sturgis). Jacob is cited in the will of Joshua Sturgis in 1773 as
Jacob of William. Jacob was a Revolutionary Patriot. In 1774, he is shown with "Jacob's Lot" and "Friends Assistance." In 1783 he is
shown with the same two tracts, 1M, 3F.
Jacob Sturgis and Catherine(wife of Jacob Sturgis) had the following children:

Joshua6 Sturgis. Joshua died 1825. He was of age in 1800 and shown as
Joshua Sturgis of Jacob.

Priscilla Sturgis. Priscilla died before 1830. She married William Noble in
Worcester Co., MD, 1781. William was the son of James Noble(Jr.) and Mary(wife of James Noble). (William G. Scroggins)

Catharine Sturgis. She married Charles B. Harris in Worcester Co., MD, July
17, 1801. Charles was the son of Charles Harris and Mary Green.
