He married twice. He married MARGARET PETTIT CROPPER in Accomack Co. VA, March 24, 1802. (MARGARET PETTIT CROPPER is #6813.) MARGARET was born in Accomack Co. VA May 15, 1784. MARGARET was the daughter of JOHN CROPPER (Gen.) and MARGARET PETTIT. MARGARET died December 3, 1824 in Accomack Co. VA, at 40 years of age. He married JANE O. COWARD in Accomack Co. VA, December 21, 1826. (JANE O. COWARD is #6814.) JANE was born about 1795. JANE was the daughter of SAMUEL COWARD and MARGARET SCARBURGH. Of "Mount Custis."
