First Generation

1. William1 Bowen (I) birth date unknown. William died 1660 in Northampton Co., VA. He was buried December 5, Hungars Parish. (James H. Marshalls, Wills & Administrations of Northampton Co., VA, p. 64)

He married Ann (wife of William Bowen) about 1655. Ann died after 1686. Henry Bishop received 850 acres in Somerset Co., MD (Worcester) for transporting his children and Ann's three Bowen children.

Henry had six children, five girls and one boy, by his second wife, Ann. (chart of Charles Bishop) Land for Snow Hill Town purchased from Ann Bishop, widow of Henry Bishop October 26, 1686. (Guide to the Old Line State, p. 443) In 1649, John Evans and William Bowen sold to Daniel Cuffyn a third part of 350 acres at N102, which they said had been assigned to them by Stephen Horsey and Nicholas Waddilow; no disposition by any of those named above was found. (Ralph T. Whitelaw, Virginia's Eastern Shore, p. 507)

William Bowen(I) and Ann(wife of William Bowen) had the following children:
