He married Ann Starr. Ann was born in Broadkill hundre, Sussex county, Delaware about 1715. Ann was the daughter of Nathaniel Starr and Mary Wiltabanck?????.

James Barr and Ann Starr had the following children:

4 i. Ellen ??????⁴ Barr. She married Fowler.

5 ii. Comfort Barre. She married William Hopkins in ST John, Sussex Co., Del, December 17, 1777.

6 iii. Catherine Barr. Catherine died about 1784 in Sussex Co., Del.

7 iv. Naomi Barr was born in Broadkill, Sussex Co., Dela about 1741. Naomi died November 18, 1789 in Milton, Broadkill, Sussex Co., Dela, at 48 years of age. She married Levin Lanck in Sussex, Delaware, about 1759. Levin was born in East of mill cre, Broadkill, Sussex Co., Dela 1740. Levin was the son of Mr Lank Sailer and Mitchell Miss. Levin died December 7, 1785 in Milton, Broadkill, Sussex Co., Dela, at 45 years of age. (See Levin Lanck for the continuation of this line.)

9 vi. James Barre was born in of Broadkill hun, Sussex county, Delaware about 1747. James died December 12, 1784 in Sussex Co., Del, at 37 years of age. He married Chloe (Scudder) Marvel in Sussex Co., Del, June 13, 1772. Chloe was born in of Broadkill hun, Sussex county, Delaware about 1749.
