8. John⁴ Barre (James³ Barr, James², John¹ Barre) was born in of Broadkill hun, Sussex county, Delaware about 1744. John died November 1, 1786 in Sussex Co., Del, at 42 years of age.

He married Pharaba Carey in of sussex Co., Del, January 26, 1769. Pharaba was born in of Broadkill hun, Sussex county, Delaware about 1749.

John Barre and Pharaba Carey had the following children:

11 i. Ann⁵ Barre was born in Sussex Co., Dela April 1, 1770.

12 ii. Confort Barre was born in Sussex Co., Dela March 19, 1775.
