5. William³ Bowen (III) (William², William¹) birth date unknown. William died 1723 in Somerset Co., MD. William's estate was probated November 20, 1723. Next of kin was listed as William Bowin and Roady Bowin was appointed to administer. (Maryland Probate Records, Prerogtive Court Abstracts 1720-1724)

He married Rhoda Fassitt. Rhoda was the daughter of William Fassitt (Col.) and Elizabeth Whittington. She is shown administering her husband's estate in court records of 1723 and 1727.

William Bowen(III) and Rhoda Fassitt had the following children:

+ 28 i. Whittington⁴ Bowen.

29 ii. William Bowen(IV). He married an unknown person. Is this the William Bowen, will dated July 5, 1757, wife Mary Ann and only son, Jesse.

+ 30 iii. John Bowen was born about 1719.
