John died 1772 in Worcester Co., MD, at 53 years of age. He is shown in land records as John Jr. Will dated January 2, 1772,
probate July 3, 1772. He named wife Sarah and left her 200 acres "Hogsnorten" and then to sons William and John; sons Elisha and
Nathaniel, daughters Rhoday, Rachel, Caty and Hessey Bowin; witnesses: Jehu Houston, John Burbage and Edward Hammond. (Ruth T. Dryden,

He married Sarah Fooks. Sarah was the daughter of Daniel Fooks. In 1740, Daniel Fooks left tract of
A71 to his daughter, Sarah. In 1756, Sarah and John Bowin of Worcester Co. sold the 100 acres to Clement Parker. (Ralph T. Whitelaw,

Williamson and Josiah Collins. He mentioned that property he bought in Basket Town from Josiah Collins be sold. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester
Co., MD Will Book MH, f.95) February Court, 1783 shows Sarah Bowen detaining Nathaniel Bowen, orphan. Nathaniel Bowen, of John,17, bound to
