Truitt. Comfort was the daughter of George Truitt. In 1758, Comfort, widow of John, and her son, Luke, sold "Bowen's Discovery" to
Rackliffe Bowen, son of Luke and grandson of Comfort. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Land Records) John patented "Bowens Venture" in 1750, 100
acres. He gave a parcel to his son, Jethro, in 1753, and his daughter, Mary Carlisle, sold her portion in 1761. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester
