88. John⁵ Bowen (John⁴, William³, William², William¹) birth date unknown. John died 1802 in Worcester Co., MD.

He married Mary Polly (wife of John Bowen). In 1772, his father left him and brother William 200 acres of "Hogsnorton." In 1795, called John Jr., with wife Polly, and in 1796 with wife called Mary, he sold parts of "Hogsnorton," with 108 acres in 1796 "where Elisha Bowen now lives, Elisha being under age 21. (Ruth T. Dryden, Worcester Land Records, p. 309) His will dated Februry 21, 1802 and probated March 12, 1802 named minor children James and Ledia, brothers Elisha and Nathaniel Bowen as guardians and executors, and he gives Robert Henderson his joiner tools. Witnesses: Thomas S. Fassitt, William Bowen, Sarbra Bowen, Sarah Bowen; bonds: Edmond Crapper and Curtis Henderson. (Ruth T. Dryden JBR, f.293)
