(Bill Wilkins) James died April 10, 1917 in Accomack Co., VA, at 83 years of age. His body was interred in Accomack Co., VA, St. George's. He married Sallie Upshur Hack in Accomack Co., VA, November 26, 1856. Sallie was born 1823. Sallie was the daughter of Peter Thomas Upshur Hack and Sarah 'Sallie' T. Selby. Sallie died after 1880.

James Kellam Ayres and Sallie Upshur Hack had the following children:
